This map is a project of the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) of the Palisades, built on the same system as our Pothole Patrol.
After the fire, overgrown brush, dry grass, dead and dying trees and dumped green waste are the fuel for the next one. Keeping public land, parkways and trails clear is one of the most practical things the community can do to protect the rebuild, and the first step is knowing where the problems are.
Anyone in the community can help. The GoPaliclear app lets you photograph and geotag brush hazards you can see from public streets and trails. A coordinator reviews every report before it appears here, and green markers celebrate spots that have already been cleared.
Reports about living trees that need care go to the Palisades Forestry Committee rather than being treated as brush to remove. Serious power-line hazards should also be reported to LADWP directly; if a line is down, call 911.
Safety and privacy come first. Reporters stay on public land, never approach power lines, and avoid photographing people or license plates.
